Directions


Sauté chopped onions, garlic and mushrooms on medium high heat in a heavy, large pot until nearly all moisture has evaporated – about 7-8 minutes.

Add dried herbs, tomato sauce or canned tomatoes and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Add Sol Cuisine Organic Veggie Crumbles, breaking up. Add water to “loosen” mixture.

Serve over hot pasta and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over pasta, if desired. Enjoy!

Veggie Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients


Prep Time: 30 minutes

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp each of dried red pepper flakes, oregano & thyme
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1cup red wine (optional)
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes or 1 700 ml jar of tomato sauce
  • 1 package Sol Cuisine Organic Veggie Crumbles
