Pumpkin Protein Smoothie
It’s Canadian Thanksgiving! Everyone loves Thanksgiving, with all of the pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes and stuffing! However, a weekend of hardcore carbo-loading can take its toll on your immune and digestive systems. We thought this smoothie recipe would be a great way to combine the Thanksgiving spirit with a post-Thanksgiving cleanse that starts on Tuesday!
You might be surprised by the use of tofu in our Pumpkin Protein Smoothie. We believe our tofu, which is 100% certified organic, gluten free and GMO free, is one of the best vegetarian protein sources available, so why not feature it in this great breakfast recipe?
Ingredients:
- 2 cups spinach
- 1 1/2 cups soy or almond milk
- 1/2 serving Sol Cuisine Firm Tofu
- 1/3 cup pumpkin
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg
- 2 medjool dates pitted
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup ice
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender & blend on high until smooth.
Makes 2 servings.
